King has always been a very loving, friendly, outgoing, energetic, smart, curly red headed, blue eyed, amazing 2 ½ year old little boy. He has always been in great health. His belly extended dramatically overnight, no complaints of pain or discomfort but it didn’t sit well with his parents. So they decided to take him straight to Cincinnati Children’s within hours they discovered a huge tumor in his stomach which is wrapped around his intestines and a diagnoses of cancer on January 7, 2018. Leading to CT scans, biopsies, a surgery that didn’t go as planned leaving King with 4 blood transfusions, a hospital like stage coma, and respiratory failure. Everything happened so quickly this perfectly healthy child goes into the hospital and then his parents are told he has Stage 3 Burkett non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in which cancer starts in immune cells called B-cells. Recognized as the fastest growing human tumor, Burkett lymphoma is associated with impaired immunity and is rapidly fatal if left untreated. So the doctors have to go at this very aggressively. He has also contacted C-Diff, Mucusitis, and has become Sepsis. They now believe the cancer has spaded to his colon. With everything going on his parents Shanea and Jimmy are unable to work and financially support their 5 other children (girls 14, 10, 5, 3 year old children and a 10 month old bay), 2 whom they have taken custody of. They are wonderful people with big hearts they have always done so much to help others out. Its our time to help them out in this terrible time of need. Even wit all this going on their bills don't just stop. We are looking to try to cover at least 4 months of their bills, beings that the closest date that the doctors have discussed. This money will go to their rent, Gas & Electric, Car Insurance, Gas to get back and forth from the hospital, household items, and whatever necessities they may need. These people wouldn't hesitate for one second to help someone in need. Lets show them that same kindness.
