Team Canada Dance World Championshp

My name is Grace Caslick, I am 13 years old and I have been a competitive dancer in Stratford, Ontario for the past 8+ years. I was recently selected to represent Canada at the World Streetdance Show Championships with Team Canada Dance. There are however many expenses connected with competing at the National level and these athletes don't qualify for financial support at the federal, provincial or local level, which is highly disappointing. I am currently seeking financial assistance in the form of donations and other various fundraising.
The competition date is fast approaching and we could really use all the financial help we can get! Please help and donate if you can! Any amount is greatly appreciated more than you could ever know! There aren't enough words to describe the gratitude we have to those who have supported us already, and for future donors. 
This is like the Olympics of dance and our team goal is to bring home a Gold Medal! My personal goal is to also demonstrate to my peers and youth of the community that "hard work pays off".  I am excited and proud to be representing my country and community on The World Stage in the Czech Republic this September. I am passionate about dance and hope to make it a career with my own studio one day, giving back to my community.
As a family we already cut out anything that isn't needed in order for me to dance. We don't go on family vacations, we rarely eat out or even get take out and we don't drink.  Due to a work injury, and further damage done to that injury my mom is no longer able to work, so my dad is the only one with a stable income and we don't have a large family to lean on. We could really use some help!! We are hoping, and have faith, that our community and country will step up to the plate and help us.
Dance is so much more than just dancing. The life lessons learned are invaluable. Skills such as commitment, persistence, punctuality and time management are just a few.  It's those skills as well as the artistry of dance that I hope to share one day. i just completed Grade 7 at Stratford Central S.S. and I dance 20-30 hrs/week. I am a B to A+ student and participate in multiple school teams and clubs such as Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Dance Club and Student Council.  I also attend as many dance workshops as I can in my "spare time" and participate in Community Plays including Drayton Entertainments "Snow White-The Panto". 
Dance has taught me many of the skills needed to juggle it all and lead by example, showing that with hard work and determination even someone from a small place can do big things! I really want to set a good example to the youth community and show them that the "attention" you get for doing something good is so much better that the "attention" you get for doing something that isn't. I want to show them that when you make good choices good things happen!
