Support The Stewarts (Team Brad's New Lungs)

For those of us who grew up with the Stewart Family, it was easy to miss that Brad lived with Cystic Fibrosis, both because of his active lifestyle (filled with soccer, tennis, drama practice) and his positive attitude. In Bloomsburg, and then at Penn State University, Brad thrived academically and socially. While at Penn State, Brad met the love of his life, Lindsay. Brad and Lindsay were married in Florida in 2008, and it's where they now live with their two beautiful daughters.

Over the past few years, Brad's illness has progressed taking away the most precious gift any of us have - time. Brad remained in Florida in the care of local providers for as long as he possibly could, but in early 2019, his lung functions deteriorated drastically to the point that he was relocated to Duke University where he works to improve his health enough to receive a double lung transplant.

The road is long for Brad and his new lungs. As he waits, he is separated from his favorite people in the world, his wife and two beautiful daughters, while his mom and dad are currently residing in a hotel and travel back and forth to be by his side. All of this travel expense is out of pocket.

We are asking Brad's community to rally around him with thoughts, prayers, and donations to help with travel, medical bills, food, and any other expenses to help ease the burden for Brad and his family during this difficult time.

Today is Father’s Day, and as we think of the special men in our lives, we ask that you think of our Bradley Kent and support him and his family in any way you can.

***Update***- Within the first 24 hours we have doubled our initial goal. The outpouring of support for The Stewart Family leaves me with no words (not an easy feat). This community has shown that we can and should dream big, and set goals even bigger. So- here we go, doubling the goal AGAIN, to $20,000.

***Update (Again)*** We launched this campaign on Fathers Day and have been overwhelmed by the results. The funds are great, but the thoughts and prayers seem to really be working. As of today, Brad is officially listed on the transplant list, we will continue to pray for the donors family and for Brads recovery. Getting placed on the transplant list is HUGE, and now we wait for the right set of lungs. Brad will require major support as he proceeds to transplant surgery and the long road of recovery and eventually back home! The outpouring of positivity and love has been so meaningful and I have personally received no less than 20 requests to raise the goal again so we can keep this going. So #TeamBrad, that is what we will do. We are raising the goal one last time, this time to $40,000.
