We Are One Community Unity

Donation protected
We Are One Community Unity has been a self-funded resource for those who need it most- feeding and clothing our homeless and less fortunate people of Detroit-- for 5 years.  We also host  free basketball tournaments for the kids every year, along with year long mentoring programs for teenagers; exposing them to positive, educational and inspirational people and places they may not otherwise know exist.

Our goal now is to provide transitional but stable support and resources for families in need of a solid next step.  We are raising money to repair and furnish a home (pictured here) so that families in need of a home can live here for free until permanent housing is found and secured.  The lot next door will be used as a community garden. We will post the families information on a regular basis so that caring people who wish to donate clothes, dinner, groceries, toys, or even a movie night, will be able to do so.  Each family that comes through this home will also receive a running dependable automobile in addition to counseling and job training.  We Are One Community Unity's goal is to spread as much love and hope through the community as possible, one person and one family at a time. To do this, we need and would appreciate your help and donations of any kind. Or, to volunteer on or donate to this project in another capacity, please call WAOCU [phone redacted] for more information.
