We are aiming to raise $1500 to put toward giving the TCML 2017 participants an incredible artistic experience!
About the Toronto Creative Music Lab (TCML):
TCML is a peer-mentored workshop where every activity is delivered by people in the early stages of their careers. For TCML, early career is not determined by age but encompasses a broad spectrum - from first-year university music students to folks exploring music later in life. TCML believes that the knowledge we gain from established artists needs to be complemented by the knowledge we gain from sharing our experiences with one another.
TCML 2017 will be held from June 17-24 in Toronto. 40 participants have been selected from a large pool of applicants, consisting of 10 composers and 30 musicians. Over the course of TCML 2017, participants will collaborate, rehearse, and rework new pieces of chamber music, and will perform in two public, professionally-recorded concerts. The workshop also includes daily professional development sessions, an open rehearsal visited by members of the Toronto contemporary music community, communal meals, and extracurricular activities.

Our Campaign:
We want to provide an immersive professional development experience that is accessible to artists. To make this happen, the cost of TCML registration is partially subsidized through grants and fundraising, and we provide participants with transit support, food, and housing during the workshop. Our goal is to ensure that an artist’s financial situation is never a barrier to their participation.
With your help, we make this a possibility.
Support from people like you makes TCML possible for artists who could otherwise not afford to attend a workshop like this one. You make the TCML experience much more meaningful for everyone, including the local and national music communities at large.
Our goal is $1500. You can make a donation here through this site, and you can also go to www.tcml.ca for more information on how to support what we do.
All donations will be acknowledged on our website. If you donate $25 or more, you will receive a ticket to a TCML concert in June. If you donate $100 or more, you will receive a ticket, an invitation to join one of our group lunches, and your name will appear in our concert programs.
