Help Kona Walk Again

Anybody who has met Kona knows she is the most loving, sweet, and gentle dog who loves to cuddle and frolic outside.
On May 20th, Kona was put out on her lead to go outside and she excitedly ran into the yard, but tragically ran too fast and too far, causing her lead to yank back on her neck and pull her whole body into the air, landing her on her back. She immediately started yelping and we ran out to help, only to find her shaking in fear and immobilized on the ground. We rushed her to the hospital and found out that she is now paralyzed due to a traumatic spinal cord injury.
Our sweet little girl's only chance to walk again is undergoing an expensive surgery, estimated around $8000. Due to her owner's recent divorce in which he lost everything except for Kona, she has lost her best dog friend and home, and our family and her love of playing outside are the only things she has left. Our whole family has put together as much money as we can, but still can't afford her surgery, and without it she'll never get to walk or play again. Our hearts are completely broken due to this tragic event. Please help our sweet dog to walk again.
