COMment at Reinhardt supports CHOA

The COMment Club of Reinhardt University is raising money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
In December, our team will travel to Egleston Hospital to take a tour and host a patient party for the kids! We hope to present a sizeable donation to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation at that time.
Our team is passionate about helping this organization because many of us have family members that are being or have been treated by the wonderful staff and doctors at CHOA. Our hope is to give back and put some big smiles on the faces of the super hero kids that fight daily for their health and happiness.
100% of the proceeds will go to the CHOA Foundation, which is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to bring health, hope and happiness to children through the philanthropic support of individual donors, charitable foundation and corporations.
From pediatric cancer treatments and organ transplants to fracture care and appendectomies, Children's cares for our community’s children and teens. In 2011, Children’s provided nearly $74 million of unreimbursed care for children who needed medical treatment and also invested $149 million in community benefits like pediatric research, teaching and child wellness initiatives, and unique pediatric services, all of which would not be possible without donor support.
The Foundation relies heavily on volunteers both in the hospitals and in the community. Each year, in-hospital volunteers donate more than 127,000 hours of their time and, in 2011, community volunteer groups raised more than $2.2 million for Children’s through fundraising activities and events.
