This is Collin, he is 10 years old. On July 4th we took him to the ER because he was extremely pale and after a few days and more tests than any little kid should have to undergo. He was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma B-cell Leukemia on July 7, 2015. We have been transferred to a hospital  3 hours away from home and family and is expected to be here for another few weeks.  We have been living , for the last week in a constant state of dismay and heartache. This type of Lymphoma is a very quick and aggressive. And the plan is to require at least 8 more treatments away from home and family. But the world keeps moving and the bills are already stacking up. We are reaching out for help in our need to alleviate some of our worries. Thank you .

Collin's recent PET scan showed growth on some lymph nodes and the Thymos. We will be going to Holtz Children Hospital to see what the treatment plan is.

I don't know where else to vent. My hubby's work has been screwing him with leave all year. We are getting ready for my sons MAW trip next week and they retro deducted leave from him leaving him short have the days we needed for the trip. His supervisor told him he could get advanced leave for the trip, had us running around getting letters and stuff. Then tells him today, that he is going to have to request donated leave. We did that when our son first was Dx, it takes forever to actually come through and there is no guarantee that he will even get any. We have been trying to move on, and we keep getting kicked down.
Makes me so angry , how much more does this cancer have to screw up our lives?

We have endured so much on this journey. We have learned so much, things that they never tell you. Just because your family has survived the edge of death just means that the solution ended the battle, it doesn't mean that it ended the war. The medical bills do not vanish, the terrifying scans still exist, consist blood work, the miles driven, hour waiting for results. The financial strains are there even more, only now all the help has stopped because your child is deemed "cured". Now, your standing in the middle of a lengthy marathon with just your spouse and children, even the cheering onlookers have gone home, and you wonder how am I even going to get back to where we were? Are we even going to get back on track? Help doesn't come even with a sob story, as long as your child survives.
