Our Basketball City NYC squad (in conjunction with Basketball City LLC in the lower east side of Manhattan and Paul Law Group LLP) needs your help for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and our team's potential participation in The Basketball Tournament (TBT ).
As many of you know, we recently tried to get in to this $2 million dollar tournament through fan votes. The turnout from our fans was tremendous, but unfortunately we fell short to qualify automatically for the tournament. The alternate means of qualification is this fundraiser for an amazing cause (that you can read about below). Many of our players are veterans of Wesley Paul's "Paul & Co" team, an annual powerhouse (6 of the last 9 championships) in the top level league at Basketball City.
Raising money for us by clicking here , through Go Fund Me will not only help BBSA but also our Basketball City team qualify for this summer's TBT that you all worked so hard to try and get us qualified for with your votes. This fundraiser will last until June 13th at noon ET. As the nation's largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ('Bigs') and children ('Littles'), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Professionally trained Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members work with our partners in the education and juvenile justice communities to find children facing adversity and assess how our programs can have the greatest impact. Big Brothers Big Sisters targets the children who need us most, including those living in single parent homes, growing up in poverty and coping with parental incarceration.
