Did you know that car crashes are the No. 1 cause of death for teenagers in the US? Almost half of all teen car accidents are fatal. My name is Tazio Torregiani, I’m 15 years old and have been racing go-karts since I was 6 at the highest levels. I know how important it is to focus when I’m driving, and I want to use my racing for the promotion of safe driving among teens. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration encourages us to follow the “5 to drive” simple steps when driving a car:
1. No cell phones
2. No extra passengers
3. No speeding
4. No alcohol
5.Buckle up
Karting has been one of my passions for many years now, I've raced all over the world from Vegas to Bahrain and have had some of the best wins and lessons learned. I've been blessed to have all these opportunities because of my hardworking family. On November 23rd the annual SuperNationals in Las Vegas, is the largest kart race in North America, with some of the fastest teenagers from around the globe. Help me meet my goal and pursue my dream to win this prestigious race and spread awareness about safe teen driving.
