Taylor "Just Be There" Foundation

When Taylor was taken from us suddenly, loving family and friends descended on us through the fog of immense grief and sorrow to ‘just be there.’  In brief clearings of this haze, we became increasingly aware of the stories we were hearing about his life – some of which were well worn and amusing.  But many others we had never heard before and from his friends we had never previously known.  We learned that he was not just a happy-go-lucky young man, but rather a man whose big heart had prompted positive actions to help many others in times of crisis.  We realize these family and friends who had come had been instrumental in assisting us with Taylor’s arrangements and for a hug, a cry and a shoulder to lean on.  They had travelled from all over the country – important to their ability to do this was the financial means to ‘just be there.’

What if families who suffer a loss or have a medical crisis, but do not have dear friends and family with the resources allowing them to come to their support?  This was one story we heard about that Taylor resolved in his life.  This is the basis of this GoFundMe campaign - The Taylor Meyer "Just Be There" Foundation - to create a foundation that can provide the resources for people financially impeded who need to ‘just be there.’
