Hey everyone,
My name is Chloe and I am Taylah and Britneys mum.
I am so proud to say both Taylah and Britney have been selected to represent their club Queensland Cheer Elite over in America. They were selected out of hundreds of athletes to represent Qce.
As you all know my girls live, dream and breath cheerleading. They train up to 18hrs a week, competing up to 6 competitions a year.
They are the National, State and Australasian pinnacle champions.
The girls are apart of Junior level 2 travelling to the USA in February this year to compete at NCA Nationals- the largest cheerleading competition in the WORLD.
The event attracts 25,000 cheerleaders from all around the world and Britney and Taylah were selected to represent Qce and Australia.
Tay and Brit are key athletes in this team, offering elite stunting and tumbling. This trip can be quite a financial strain having to pay thousands of dollars for flights, accommodation and entry into the competitions as well as the specialty training gear and training in Australia and the USA. We have taken out a loan to try and cover the costs but have only Been able to cover part of it. We have unfortunately come up short of the total amount.
It is just the girls and myself travelling to America leaving Gary and Leilani home due to the costs and expenses of this trip.
Cheerleading is one of the most expensive sports with no government funding available.
I have set up this go fund me in the hope I can fundraise some money to help the girls make it to America. This is a once in a lifetime trip and as a parent I am trying my hardest to do everything possible to make the girls dream of competing in the biggest competition in the world come true!
