The numbers are in. Women are almost absent from K-12 history materials.  How can we hope to build a a more just world when students are missing half the story? Students deserve a complete picture of the human experience.

Our Mission: Teach About Women provides K-12 educators with curriculum and training to teach about women of diverse backgrounds and promote gender equity in schools. We envision a world where all young people think critically about historical and contemporary gender dynamics in order to create a more equitable future.

Women are hardly mentioned in high school history curriculum. When they are mentioned, they are almost always white and usually in domestic roles.
