Tarte's Hearts

Tarte's Hearts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that creates programs within middle schools to partner with underprivileged children to teach compassion and combine it with action through kindness and community service to make a difference in our world. The children are required to monitor their growth by completing reflections and journals after each event, activity, or field trip. Teaching children empathy, responsibility, and commitment are values that will stay with them throughout their entire lives.


Tarte's Hearts is fortunate to have impacted so many lives so much within our first year, but with growth comes obstacles. We are growing faster than we can accommodate, and unfortunately, without resources, some children are excluded from our events. It breaks my hearts to see children that genuinely want to participate and make a difference be turned away. I am simply at capacity at this point facilitating events and activities with our current resources. There are so many children fortunate enough to have been taught to give back and raised with values, but rarely are they able to give back in a way they can be accountable and measurable. Being directly a part of something where they give their own time and effort makes them proud and they wear that pride with their Tarte's Hearts t-shirts, the photos of the difference they have made during an event, and their journals and reflections which show just how far they have come.  

With your help, we can give more children a chance to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
