As most of you know, for over three years, I have been staff at Southport Masters Commission. God has allowed me the amazing privilege to speak into young people’s lives the message of God’s love and raise up a generation that wants to know God and make Him known. During this time, I have already had many amazing opportunities such as traveling to Belgium, France, Portugal, Scotland, and Wales. In 2015, Southport Masters Commission have been given the amazing opportunity to do missions work in Germany and Poland, and I get a new experience of helping lead the team throughout both missions.
In March, SMC will be going on a two week trip to Belgium, Germany, and Holland. We will start our journey by driving to Brussels, Belgium where the Masters Commission Europe headquarters is located. This is a great chance to connect with those who work very hard to help make Masters Commissions in Europe an effective force for God’s Kingdom. Our second stop will be Stuttgart, Germany where we will meet up with the Masters Commission there for four days to not only connect with another program, but also go into their local towns to do outreach and evangelism. God’s work goes beyond our every day world and SMC gets to be a part of God’s work in Germany; to come alongside other young people of the same heart and mind, to win the lost for Jesus. The final stop will be in Amsterdam, Holland for the MCE Conference. Every year all the Masters Commissions in Europe come together to connect and grow as one body. There will be sessions, night services and fun activities with the addition of youth being able to come and hear God’s word. This year we won’t be staying in a hotel like previous years. We will be staying with host families from one of our student’s churches. This is an invaluable opportunity to make connections that could last for a lifetime.
In May, SMC will be going to Poland for a week. We will be splitting up into two teams to cover more ground. One of the teams will be going into a lot of schools to minister to children, and the other team will be working with local church doing outreaches and evangelism in the surrounding villages. They will also be reaching the church youth, as well as serving the church. The last two days we will all come together to work with children, give testimonies at a concert and help with their Sunday church service. This trip will be jam-packed with amazing opportunities to share God’s love to all generations.
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
You have an opportunity to partner with the work that is being done for God’s Kingdom in these countries. Equipping me to be the hands and feet that can go and share God’s love with those that may have never heard before. I believe that God is opening the doors for people’s lives to be changed forever. All it takes is one encounter.
As well, I have some practical needs and will be needing to make a big purchase soon. I am saving to be able to go home to Kentucky and see my family this summer, but I can’t meet the full cost of flying over. Family is very important to me, and any help is much appreciated.
Please seriously consider partnering with me in three ways:
1. Through prayer. Prayer is so important because it sows the seed for the work that God wants to do. It prepares my heart and the heart of those that I will meet during both missions.
2. Through financial giving. While prayer sows the seed spiritually, partnering with me financially, is a very practical way to ensure that I am fully able to be a part of advancing God’s Kingdom. ANY amount will make a difference!
3. Through monthly giving. There are not many things more valuable than having people in your life that believe in what you are doing enough to give to it. Monthly support will enable to go on more missions trips, save for bigger purchases, and be able to more easily support and bless others in my life.
