Done - Georgetown Engineering RV-12 Build

We need YOUR HELP to build an Airplane! Will you #HelpUs Fly?

Tango Flight is working in conjunction with Georgetown ISD and Project Lead the Way to provide High School students with a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity.

As part of their regular school day, students are taking a college based Aerospace Engineering class, getting hands on exposure at numerous local Aviation related businesses, and participating in the build of a Vans RV-12 Light sport Aircraft.

Thanks to some generous folks, we have been able to purchase the first build kits for the airplane. The kids have already started construction!  Check out our Tango Flight Facebook Page for lots of pictures and updates of our progress.

Our goal is to complete the plane and have it flying before the end of the school year (May 2017). However, we need to finish funding the plane, and we need to get the funds secured as soon as possible.

The objective for the program is to build a plane every school year.  We would like to have one plane flying and one plane under construction for each class.  After completing the second plane, we intend to sell the first plane to fund the build of a third plane.  Using this model, the program should become self-funding, providing hundreds of students the ability to learn about aviation through this exceptional immersion approach.
