Local governments have an enormous influence on our day to day lives, often even more than national politics. They set our taxes, decide the growth pattern for our city, and develop ordinances that effect all citizens.
Having been involved within the Mansfield community over the last 6 years, I have worked to be a voice for positive change and a voice to many community concerns. I now feel it time for me to run for an elected position. I want to bring fresh ideas and positive solutions to Mansfield by running for a seat on City Council.
Mansfield is rapidly growing. I have concerns regarding current infrastructure capabilities to keep up with demands, and concerns that our antiquated taxation system is slowly strangling our residents. I am troubled that residents and businesses in areas of my community have been left behind or without a voice in decisions that shape their neighborhoods. This must change.
In order to serve the people, I must run an aggressive campaign. For this campaign to be successful, it will require a strong and organized grassroots effort. The Tamera Bounds Campaign has already been busy with talking to people, knocking on doors and developing my platform. But I need signs, brochures, and people to canvass or help work my canopy. I cannot do this alone. That is why I am turning to the people—to you—to get involved and help make a difference.
