Taking the Pressure Off

Annecca Gaeta is a bright, bubbly third grader at the school where I work as a teacher, but all that changed when she got sent down to the school office with a terrible stomach ache.
     It was soon discovered that Annecca's lower intestine was twisted and blocked by a massive, baseball-sized cyst. She was rushed into emergency surgery to remove the cyst and repair the damaged section of her lower intestine. During her second surgery HALF of her lower intestine was removed. We are praying that the remaining half pinks back up and regains functionality. Today Annecca's third surgery was scheduled. The doctors are now concerned that her lungs could collaspe from the stress her body is having to endure. 
     Annecca will be in the ICU for weeks, or even months. She has had multiple tests and surgeries, and has met with several anesthesiologists and doctors. The debts incurred are going to be astronomically difficult. We in the community--her teachers, friends, family and neighbors-- want to help in any way we can. Please help remove their financial stress, so the family can focus on Annecca's well-being and recovery. Thank you so much!
