Taidus Vs AML LUEKEMIA

Donation protected
If you have taken notice to our absence or unanswered calls or messages it's not intentional. It's because on June 6th our baby Taidus was diagnosed with AML leukemia. It's a rare aggressive type of leukemia. One of those kind that's makes you wish you would have bought a lotto ticket that day. His chances of getting this type of leukemia are less then 1%. It started with Taidus having a stuffy nose and slight swelling in his eyes. His dr diagnosed it as allergies, we continues with Benadryl and dimetap. After a week he got worse, his eyes got more swollen and his stuffiness didn't improve, we returned to his dr who had us get his blood drawn. The following day we got a call from his dr who said we need to take him to the hospital immediately as his white, red, and platelets were dangerously low. It was at the hospital that we learned he had leukemia, cancer of the bone marrow. The treatment for AML is aggressive to try and combat its natural aggressive nature to spread rapidly. Taidus will be hospitalized for 6-8 months. We are hoping for 6 over 8 months of course. At the time Taidus was diagnosed he was in pretty bad shape, and we didn't realize it till we got to the hospital. The leukemia had spread from his bone marrow (which was 80-100% full) to his spine and his sinus and orbital bones. Yea our baby was in bad shape, and it was the hardest thing as parent to watch these strangers poke and pierce your baby over and over again. But we were lucky, Taidus responded to the chemo exceptionally better then anyone could have predicted. Within 36 hours he went from having a swollen face, eyes that were popping out due to the amount of cancer cells behind his eyes. To pretty much looking back to normal. Although our baby is doing good and responding even better to all his treatment, the battle isn't over. He still has a long stay at the hospital. Along with the long stay and countless procedures he has gone through and the shopping list of medication, one could only imagine the cost occurred during this time. It doesn't make things easier that an adult has to be with him at all times. And His amazing mom has reduced her schedule doing make up to almost nothing in order to be with our baby all day and night at the hospital. As fortunate as we consider ourselves, it's difficult since we have 2 other boys to consider. And having our family apart when we were so use to all being under one roof all the times makes the separation more difficult. As parents who are both to proud to ask, we have held out as long as possible. We are not ones to ask for help. But at this time we regret to have to ask friends and family for any help with financial assistance to help care for Taidus and his medical expenses. Mom will be in the hospital with Taidus for the 6-8 months with a reduced schedule for her business. Dad will be off for 12 weeks throughout taidus's stay and also take a 30 day leave once he out of the hospital. It's with the reduced work schedule for both and medical expenses that we have to ask for any donations. It's with our deepest appreciation that we say thank you to anyone willing to donate.
