Tabitha's Recovery Fund

Donation protected

Tabitha Spencer is my sister.  She's also a mother of three boys: Evan, Dylan, and Erik.  She's also one of our local 911 dispatchers.

Around Sept. 1st, she started experiencing some major pains in her stomach and took herself to Moore County Hospital.  Moore County stated at the time it was just "muscle spasms" gave her muscle relaxers and sent her home.  Over the next few weeks, Tabitha returned to the ER in Dumas multiple times.  During one of these visits, a CT scan was done, but Moore County again stated it was just "muscle spasms", and sent her home.  She finally made a trip to the ER in Amarillo, and that's where she was told the CT scan from Moore County showed she had gallstones and sludge in her gallbladder along with a number of other digestive issues.  Moore County never told her the results of the CT and never treated her for anything on the CT.  The surgeon at Amarillo Medical Group scheduled her for surgery on Oct. 17th.  Tabitha's gallbladder situation continued to worsen, and within a few days of her appointment in Amarillo she was rushed by ambulance from Moore County to BSA where she has been since October 2nd.

Tabitha had her gallbladder removed, but gallstones has moved from the gallbladder to her pancreas by this time and made her severely ill.  While in the hospital, she suffered from pancreatitis which caused her heart rate to increase and her oxygen level to decrease among other problems.  Tabitha has now developed pneumonia , and cysts on her pancreas.  She has been sent to Vibra, but due to further complications she may be transferred to a hospital in Dallas or Houston.

While in the hospital, of course, she has missed a great deal of work and has used up all her sick and vacation leave.

I'm seeking donations for Tabitha to help her pay her living expenses while she is hospitalized.  Hoping to assist her to pay her rent, utilities, groceries, etc so that she can recover and not worry about becoming homeless if her rent isn't paid.

I know this community loves her as they remember her from working at Pac A Sak on Maddox and also Animal Control Officer.  Now she assists our community as a 911 Operator, and I hope as community we can come together to assist her and her children.
