Dear Family and Friends

As some of you may know over the last fifteen years, our mum, Febisola Okonkwo has been involved in Humanitarian and Charity work in Nigeria using Help Initiative and Tabitha Home as a means to support the needs of vulnerable women and children. As the number of children in her care increases, her heart’s desires is to see that life gets easier for them and they can live life to their full potential.


Tabitha Home is a formal care and transitional home for orphans and vulnerable children, located in Ibadan Oyo state, Nigeria. The home was born out of the desire to erase the stigma attached to vulnerable children status creating equality for them among their peers irrespective of their situations and circumstances. Tabitha Home strives to provide an environment conducive to the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual health and well-being of the children. The focus is to rehabilitate and transform the children to lead fulfilling lives and have a positive future.In addition to school attendance, the children engage in socio-educative activities like drama presentations, debate, creative arts, poetry, book clubs, dance and spelling bees.  

All of this would not be accomplished without the efforts of donors, workers, volunteers and including our mum, Febisola Okonkwo, the founder of Tabitha Home, whose passion, drive and energy has been dedicated towards making this possible. The Home has grown over the past two years and currently caters for 20 children, ages 5-17, in nursery, primary and secondary school. With the growing number of children, the most pressing need is a safe and effective means of transportation to shuttle the children to and from school and other social and educational events.

Here is where we all come in—We need your donation and goodwill to raise $15,000 which will enable Tabitha Home purchase a bus. With the accomplishment of this goal, the children will be able to ride around the city, to school, church and respective events, comfortably and safely. We invite everyone to join and contribute whatever you can to enable this goal be a reality.
