Tabby's Brain cancer journey

Donation protected
I have had seizures since age 17. It was stress induced, but as time went on the seizures and I had an on and off relationship. It interferred with my work, school and life in general. I then recently had a seizure and hit my head on the bathtub. An MRI was done and my brain had swelling. After the swelling another MRI was taken and it was confirmed I have a meningioma tumor in my brain.

This tumor was looked at by two different neurologist which said it is in a spot which would be difficult to operate on, due to it's location at the base of my skull/brain stem...so my friends, it's chemo we go! I will be meeting with an oncologist on April 5th, we will go over my oral chemo, which is going to be lomustine. I am bummed I am going to be losing my hair but sooooo hopeful this damn tumor will go away and maybe I can never deal with a seizure again!

This is going to be a difficult time for my husband and I, emotionally, physically and financially. Since the world of medicine is expensive, we could really use the help. I will also will need to do some stuff to make sure I stay healthy while going through this (hand sanitizer, healthy food, etc) and it all adds up.

Anything helps, thanks for reading and as always, "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one remembers to turn on the light"-Albus Dumbledore
