Red Beam Movie Fund

Hey! my name is Jack Stanton, im 18, and i live in Melbourne, Australia and i hope to one day be a director, i would like to say thank you for taking the time to read our story. Before we get into our story, let me give a brief discription of Red Beam, Red Beam is about two young girls (both 16) living dangerously and not avoiding hazardous situations, though their mothers warn them to be careful, they never actually end up being so. This leads them to be kidnapped through a series of bad decisions leaving them trapped in horrible situation. They are trapped, the only hope they hang onto is a beam of red light that comes from beyond the room they are trapped in, it shines through the keyhole into the darkness, can they escape? Me Jack, and a group of my friends have been obsessed with movies and the film industry in general for most of our lives, and now that we are coming to the end of our schooling, starting to head off in an artistic direction doesnt seem so much of a dream anymore, instead its more of something thats just in the distance calling us. My friends, Tristan Kelly (Future Director / Editor) , Ziggy Cross (Future cinematographer), my grandmother Ann Maynard (Script writer / came up with the original story) and i are banding together to make what will hopefully be a wonderful amature film which we shall enter into the short film feastival.  Things were looking great, until we realised that hiring equiptment for sound and film is extreamly expensive and without a miracle it might still only be a dream to make our film. We need these funds for the equiptment that we need for sound recording, filming and such, like mics, cameras, headphones, lighting. We are planning on doing this later this year into the start of 2018 to enter the short film festival next year. Having on oportunity to be able to make our own movies will not only benefit us in the short term, but will also benefit us all in the long run giving us lots of experience in the field we want to go into, and experience is priceless.
