The Cary Elementary School PTA is asking family and friends to help us reach our fundraising goal for the 2018-2019 academic year. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 (EIN: 56-1295044) organization that supports the students, teachers and administration of Cary Elementary School.

About Cary Elementary School
Cary Elementary School is one of the smaller elementary schools in the Wake County Public School System. Our school has about 530 students between kindergarten and fifth grade with roughly 40% of students on free and reduced lunch. The school is attended by a diverse student population drawn from families that live mostly in the downtown Cary area.
Last year the PTA supported

- Grants for classroom supplies to avoid out of pocket costs to teachers
- Teacher training
- Bought 5 laptops for teacher use
- Breakfasts and Luncheons organized throughout the year

- 3rd- Mosaics and Math Workshop (pic at bottom)
- 4th- Writer in Residence week long workshop (pic at bottom)
- 5th- Artist in residence week long workshop
- All School: Bright Star Touring Theatre at Cary Arts Center
Paw Patch (School Vegetable Garden)
- Vegetables donated to our local food pantry (pic at bottom)
- Teachers have been able to use the Garden in curriculum

What is GoFundMe's cut?
GoFundMe recommended we run as a personal campaign which means there is no platform fee. Credit card transactions are charged a small processing fee of 2.9% + .30. GoFundMe makes money from voluntary tips. The tip is at your discretion.
Do you take checks or cash?
We sure do! Put your cash or check in your child's school folder in an envelope marked PTA. Checks should be payable to Cary Elementary PTA. Make sure you include your students name so their class gets credit for the ice cream party prize.
How do I claim my prizes?
When donating you will be asked for your email address. A member of our team will then email you regarding prize delivery and which class you’d like the funds to count towards for the ice cream party.
Why aren't you doing a fun run?
Fun runs are fun, but unfortunately commercial fun runs have a very high operating cost. We want to give as much of the donations as possible to the school. If anyone wants to organize a volunteer led fun run for next year please email (link at top) and let us know.
