Saving the life of Alejandra

Being diagnosed with Cancer is hard news a person can receive, but you can only hope that there is medicine that can help save your life. But when your doctors tell you, there is nothing else medically they can to do for you and you have 6 months to a year to live because cancer has spread into your organs and brain, is one of the most devastating and heartbreaking news any patient or family can hear.
That's the story of my little cousin who is like a little sister to me, her name is Alejandra, she's 27 years old, single mother of a beautiful 1 year old girl, Renata. Alejandra was diagnosed first with breast and Lung cancer on February 2015;
right after her diagnosis she received chemotherapy hoping that will help reduce the size of her tumors. Chemo did not work too well in her body, doctors noticed her breast tumor remained the same size but instead the cancer spread to her ovaries. Not to mention while Alejandra was receiving Chemo, her at the time 6 month old daughter, Renata, was diagnosed with a condition in her hips that if not treated immediately, would have a problem to walk. Alejandra faced her daughters diagnosis like a champion and took care of her daughters treatment while getting Chemo. Alejandra received a different batch of chemotherapy hoping her body reacted well and helped her this time, which unfortunately was not the case, Chemo did not work well again in her body. Alejandra received about 30 radiations hoping that since chemo did not work, radiation will help to shrink her tumors for her to get surgery. After all radiations were completed a Pet scan was done on Alejandra's body. Last week of February 2016 of this year, Alejandra received the heart breaking results of her Pet scan ( cancer spread to her brain, and other organs of her body). Ale called me to share the devastating news, being a cancer warrior myself was heart breaking for me and family but I knew that this could not be the end and that God was going to guide us through a doctor and a treatment that could save her life, because God has the last word and our faith is stronger than cancer. We contacted several doctors and none of them were giving us any hope.
My beautiful friend Shari left a legacy of battle that opened doors to different treatments and possibilities to us, the cancer warriors. So I contacted Shari's friend Shannon Knight, a cancer warrior who beat an advance cancer through this amazing treatment given outside of the USA since she got treated, Shannon is cancer free for 7 years already . Through Shannon I got in touch with the clinic, sent Alejandra's medical record, finding out there is hope to save Alejandra's life and there is a medical team that is willing to fight this disease side by side with Alejandra was a sign of God giving us hope to Ale and the family. The challenge we are facing is that the treatment is very costly which includes stem cell generation ( an immunotherapy for advance cancer) and our resources are very limited but we truly believe with the grace of God and all the kind hearts that could help us out to reach the cost of the treatment, $50,000, Ale needs to get treated ASAP, since the time is ticking. Ser diagnosticado con cancer es una noticia muy dura de recivir, siempre con la esperanza y deceando que haya medicina que pueda ayudarte a luchar contra esta enfermedad y a salvar tu vida. Pero cuando los doctores te dicen que medicamente no hay nada que hacer y que solo te queda de 6 meses a un ańo de vida porque el cancer se rego en los organos y el cerebro, escuchar esa noticia es una de las mas devastadoras noticias que le rompe el corazon a cualquier paciente o familia.
Esa es la historia de mi pequeña prima quien para mi es como mi hermanita pequeña, su nombre es Alejandra, ella tiene 27 años de edad. Madre soltera de una hermosa niña de tan solo 1 añito de edad su nombre es Renata.
Alejandra fue diagnosticada con cancer de ceno y pulmon en Febrero Del 2015, despues de su diagnostico, Alejandra recivio Chemoterapia esperando que la Chemo redujera el tamańo de los tumores. La Quimo no trabajo bien en su cuerpo y los doctores se dieron cuenta que el tumor del ceno no reducia y que sin embargo el cancer habia atacado sus ovarios.
Sin mencionarles que mientras Alejandra recivia Quimo su hija Renatita de tan solo 6 mesesitos fue diagnosticada con una condicion en su cadera y tenia que recivir tratamiento de immediato si no podria tener problemas para caminar.
Alejandra enfrento el diagnostico y tratamiento de Renata como una campeona. Alejandra recivio otro cyclo de diferente quimo esperando que esta vez su cuerpo respondiera positivamente y Le ayudara pero desafortunadamemte no fue asi, la quimo no trabajo bien en su cuerpo. Alejandra recivio despues 30 radiaciones esperando que las radiaciones finalmente redujeran los tumores para poder ser operados. Despues de que todas las radiaciones fueron completadas, Ale se realizo un estudio llamado Pet el cual escanea todo el cuerpo y pueda ser identificada las partes afectadas con cancer. Terriblemente la ultima semana de Febrero de este año, Alejandra recivio la noticia devastadora de los resultados de su Pet( el cancer se habia regado al cerebro y otros organos de su cuerpo).
Ale me llamo para compartir esta
devastadora noticia, yo siendo guerrera en batalla tambien me rompio a mi y el resto de la familia, pero el corazon y el alma escucharla y pero mi corazon y Fe estaba segura que Dios nos guiaria a un doctor y tratamiento que salvaria su vida, pues Dios es el que tiene la ultima palabra y nuestra Fe es mas grande y fuerte que el cancer Nosotros contactamos diferentes doctores y ninguno de ellos nos daba esperanza. Pero mi Hermosa Amiga Shari quien dejo una legacia de batalla que habrio nuevas puertas y posibidades a nosotros los guerreros en batalla.
Me contacte con Shannon Knight, una guerrera de cancer quien vencio el cancer, un cancer avanzado 7 años atras y sigue victoriosa sin cancer pues recivio un tratamiento fuera de los USA. Por medio de Shannon me pude cominicar a la clinica donde Shanon recivio su tratamiento, mande el record medico de Ale, haber qye habia esperanza y habia un equipo medico que esta dispuesto a luchar lado al lado de Alejandra y ayudarla a luchar contra esta enfermedad era una señal de Dios dandonos esperanza.
Uno de los retos que estamos enfrentando es que el tratamiento es muy costoso pues incluye regeneracion de celulas madres ( terapias inmmunologicas para un cancer avanzado) nuestros recursos son muy limitados pero confiamos con la gracia de Dios y la ayuda de todas las personas bondadosas podamos juntar el costo de su tratamiento $50,000 dolares para que Ale lo pueda recivir lo mas pronto posible su tratamiento lo mas pronto posible, el tiempo del reloj esta corriendo.
