Increasingly, Caroline has come under disturbing attack.
A team of us would like to raise money for a legal fund for Caroline, so that she can retain the services of a lawyer, who will be able to respond to these attacks in a timely and effective manner.
If money were no object Caroline would long since have hired a lawyer. She needs legal representation, support and advice. We sincerely hope that, together, we can make that happen.

We’ve received various comments since starting this fund which in one form or another express concern about Caroline having access to a lawyer. It is for a lawyer to advise Caroline what constitutes criminal behaviour towards her and, in the light of that, what steps to take. It is right and proper that Caroline should have access to a lawyer.
21.1.2019 General Update
A huge thank you for the wonderful and generous response to this campaign in the run up to Christmas. As you may imagine it takes some time for donations to process in to GoFundMe and then out to the recipient. Now that this has been achieved we are waiting on the first consultation with a specialist legal team. In that the funds for this first consultation have been raised, we are pausing the campaign until that action step has been taken and advice considered.
19.3.2019 General Update
Just to confirm that Caroline is working with a first class Legal Team. Thank you so much to everyone for making this possible. Obviously the legal fund that we have raised will only go so far and I have been in discussion with Caroline about potentially refreshing this campaign in response to the evolving needs.

Caroline's interview with Toby Young
This GoFundMe was set up so that Caroline has access to legal representation. On the 18.3.2019 she was called by Surrey Police and asked to attend an interview for allegedly misgendering. If you google, you will find global reporting on this matter. Surrey Police were keen for Caroline to use their Solicitor for the interview. Caroline was able to stand her ground and say that she would bring her own Solicitor. Following the widespread attention that this matter attracted, the Police dropped the investigation on 21.3.2019. Thank you so much to all of you who have been contributing to Caroline's legal fund. In the course of recent reporting some of the egregious harassment that Caroline has been subject to has also now been reported by third parties. It’s not easy keeping up with events, but those of you who follow Caroline will be in no doubt about her need for Legal Funds. This Fund remains live. ‘’I will shortly be defending a legal claim alleging harassment and defamation (as a consequence of which I am currently injuncted from saying much publicly).
However, the case is likely to raise important issues of law on matters of concern to both people of faith and those who hold a “gender critical” perspective.
It is likely this case could impact on future law around the rights of people of faith and gender-critical thinkers to think and speak freely, possibly leading to a significant curtailing of both free speech and matters of conscience on gender-related issues.
I will be defending the claim on a number of grounds including on the basis of freedom of speech and freedom of conscience.”
