Helping the Homeless - Jacob’s Mitzvah Project

Hi, this Spring I am having my Bar Mitzvah. For my mitzvah project, I will be addressing something that I and many others hate to see, which is homelessness.  I am setting up this GoFundMe campaign to raise money for a local charitable organization called Blessing Bag Brigade, which collects and distributes toiletries and other supplies to the homeless.  With the funds that I raise, I will purchase their requested items and deliver them to Blessing Bag Brigade .  I will also be volunteering for some of their sorting and distribution events. Here are some examples of how your donations can help:

For only $20, you could give 10 people the most requested item in homeless shelters, socks!

For only $17, you could give 48 people a healthy breakfast bar!

For only $50, you could give a whopping 288 people shampoo and conditioner!

These are just a few of the many ways your donation can help those in need. With the funds that I collect, I will first research to find where I will get the most value, then I will purchase the requested items and bring them to the Blessing Bag Brigade. I will then personally help bag and deliver these items to those in need.
