Sam Berns Community Field Project

Donation protected
Sam Berns was a member of the Foxborough High School Class of 2015. At less than two years of age, Sam was diagnosed with a rapid aging disease known as Progeria. Sam was and will always be admired due to his positive outlook on life. He was revered for his optimism and ambition to keep moving forward. Sam’s inspiration helped raise awareness of the disease, raise funds to help the families affected, and with the help of his parents Scott Berns and Leslie Gordon, establish the Progeria Research Foundation. Sam left a legacy within the walls of our school, the Foxborough community, and the international network of those affected by Progeria. Adjacent to the school where Sam left his legacy, the turf field has been dedicated as the “Sam Berns Community Field.” As his class departs as seniors, we hope to leave a class gift honoring Sam. Our plan is to provide a walkway/garden, along with a plaque, that gives testament to Sam’s character and values as members of his community walk onto his field for years to come. Any donations towards our project would be much appreciated and will forever continue the legacy of Sam. Thank you!
