One more request for support before classes start in less than a month! Symbiosis Learning Center experienced a considerable setback when my business partner needed to pull out of our venture. As we are getting ready to start classes in September, funds are primarily needed for scholarships for low income students! Funds will also be used for assistive technology, field trips, instructors, guest speakers, and for marketing purposes!
The timing is absolutely perfect for a learning center like Symbiosis. The traditional school system is just not equipped to serve the rising number of children and teens with depression and anxiety disorders. I am certain that my learning center will be successful if given the opportunity to establish a reputation in the community as being an oasis for teens not being served by traditional high school. Teens who suffer from anxiety, social and emotional challenges, learning disabilities, ADHD, and/or who just don't fit in, can learn in an environment that is shaped by their learning style, pace, and needs, rather than the other way around. These students can earn their GED, an official transcript, and be guided through the college application and transition process.
