First Annual Sykesville IceFest

The First Annual Sykesville IceFest is coming to historic downtown Sykesville on Saturday, February 6 from 9am-5pm. Presented by the Sykesville Main Street Association and M&T Bank, this event features 40+ ice sculptures, an ice skating rink, live carving demos and more!
In order to bring a bigger, better event to Sykesville, the Main Street Association is asking for your support! Currently, the expenses for this brand new event total well over $15,000. Here's a breakdown of just a few of the costs:
- Portable Ice Skating Rink = $5700
- Interactive Ice Sculptures = $3000-6000
- Event Facilities (e.g. restrooms) = $500
- Advertising = $2500
- Shuttle Buses + Traffic Signs = $1200
The Sykesville Main Street Association is committed to providing all of these activities 100% free to our guests - we don't believe anyone should avoid attending or participating in such a wonderful, family friendly event for financial reasons. That's why we're asking for your help.
Any donation, large or small, helps to defray the cost of this event and keep all activities free for participants. The Sykesville Main Street Association administers the nationally accredited Main Street program for the Town of Sykesville and has 501(c)3 designation as a component fund of the Carroll Community Foundation. In partnership with the Town of Sykesville, the Association strives to ensure a thriving community and vibrant economic climate for businesses, residents and visitors.
