Lisa's life saving medical fund

So I suppose it's important I start from the beginning! In 2013 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, shock was an understatement as i had just given birth to my baby boy 10 days previous and have another son at 10 and daughter 9. In January 2014 I began a journey of daily radiotherapy and weekly chemotherapy for six weeks. Tough and sick as I felt I had to go on with the little ones, they are my life my reason to be here. In May I got results from my scan to say that the disease had cleared up, RESULT! Or so I thought! My routine six month scan after that revealed the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes, so almost a year on from my first nightmare I was facing my second. This time they went at it full force, chemo once every three weeks which made me sick and unable to look after the kids for at least a week after treatment and six weeks of daily radio. I lost my hair, confidence, independence,role as mummy and so much more it was hard to bear. But with a smile on my face I battled on through it with support from family and friends and of course the realisation I need to be here for my babies. A routine scan in the middle of chemo (April 2015) showed the cancer was responding and shrinking which was a good sign however the scans done at the end of treatment were to knock the stuffing outta me! Ct scans, pet scans, mri's later I was told the second round of treatment didn't work. On top of that it had spread to my pelvis and lung which had showed up clear in previous scans. The news was far from good!
What I am now facing is something I never thought I would have to at 30years of age, my cancer is aggressive and I've been given 6months. My reason for this go fund me page is to try and raise the money as quickly as possible to travel to calafornia to receive treatment that could potentially save my life. This is a very hard thing for me to do as I'm a very proud, independent person but I have to put that to one side for now and think of my family. I'm not ready to leave my babies, and they aren't ready to lose their mummy.
