Sweet Baby Aubrey - helping get an immune system

My beautiful niece has been battling a very scary disease since birth in February; SCID. She will need a bone marrow transplant to help build an immune system that she was born without. She has not left the hospital since she was born. She can’t feel the warmth of sunlight or fresh cool breeze, or even a hug from her extended family. The road to recovery is going to be long and filled with hurdles. Infection and other outside factors will prohibit her return home even after the procedure to ensure her tiny body can protect itself against bacteria and germs. She has been surrounded everyday by her loving family and sweet baby sister Lacey who has been tested and is the perfect DNA match. Besides all of the hurdles we’ve been facing we now have to deal with the insurance, hospital, daycare and housing fees. It’s almost a full time job in itself. We are hoping that Baby Aubrey’s story touches people who have been in this position or know someone who has gone through this and want to help our little angel.
