The 2018 FIL Men’s Lacrosse World Championship is going to be held in Israel. With over 50 nations and more than 2000 athletes the championship will be the biggest ever, and will be held  in Netanya between12th-21th of July 2018. Sweden will be there to compete, as we have been since the early 1990s, and this time we’re in it to make a mark!

Head coach Rolle Björck and Assistent coach Alex Majd have the set bar high and the aim for the Swedish National Team to place top 8 in the tournament. The team consists of experienced players from earlier World and European Championships, as well as newly discovered talents with high potential.

NOW - We need your help!

Being a part of the Swedish National Team requires a lot – the commitment, sacrifice and hard work is something all committed athletes can relate to, but our players have a huge financial strain. The players pay for everything themselves – that includes flights, lodging, food, transport, training camps, uniforms, team apparel etc.

With our financial situation, your aid would be greatly appreciated. With the support of friends, family, and lacrosse enthusiasts around the world, we hope to be able to focus more on our training in order to the most successful World Cup campaign possible. All the money will go directly to the team's participation at the World Championship.

We want to send our best and most ambitious team to Israel, and to our future championships. Our journey is not ending next summer, this is only the beginning! We are building momentum for future international tournaments.

Lacrosse is a small but growing sport in Sweden. All work behind the sport is still being done voluntarily by people with tremendous passion for the sport. We recognize the positive influence the sport has on everyone who is involved.

A bit of history for the Swedish National Men's Field Lacrosse Team:
1990- The Swedish National Men’s Field Lacrosse Team had their international debut in Czechoslovakia. That tournament came to be the start of a National Team that's been attending all international championships since, with exception of the World Championships 2006.

2012- Although Sweden is one of the smallest lacrosse associations they still know how to deliver far over expectations. In the European Championship 2012, with Rolle Björck as Head Coach, they surprised everyone and won the bronze medal.

2014- Over 45 nations attended to the World Championships in Denver 2014. The Swedish National Team was then led by Tobias Kindblom and Kim Langeborg and placed 11th in the world.

2016- The gold medal went to England after a well-played championship. Israel, who was our toughest group opponent took home the silver. The bronze was well earned by our neighbors Finland. Sweden ended up at the 13th place out of 24 which was a disappointment and start of a soul-search for the men’s national team. We now have a group of veterans and talented rookies who will lead Sweden back up in the world rankings.
