Einah Pelaez Scholarship Fund for SWE NY& LI

Einah Pelaez, our SWE New York President, 2016-2018, was a great SWE leader, dedicated to making our section successful and meaningful in many dimensions: professional development, networking, job searches, and outreach activities.  Einah was a dynamic person who brought amazing energy and capability to every event and project.  She was a warm and loving person who made people feel welcome and comfortable wherever she went.  We were fortunate at SWE-NY to have Einah share her life with us for over ten years.  Einah passed from this life way too soon, and robbed the world and her family of a bright light.

Please consider donating to the SWE-NY Scholarship Fund in memory of  Einah.  Over the past four years, we have provided $18,400 in scholarships to a total of 23 very deserving collegiates.

We would like to continue to expand our scholarship fund to offer a pathway to engineering success to more deserving students.  All donations are welcome.

Please consider donating to the SWE-NY Scholarship GoFundMe in memory of  Einah.  Over the past four years, we have provided $18,400 in scholarships to NY regions students.  These funds will help them to cover some of their college expenses such as books, laptop, class fees, or any other college related expenses.

Scholarship Background

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a global organization with over 35k members, is focused on supporting young women aspiring to careers in engineering.

SWE-NY, the local section of SWE covering the New York City and Long Island area, established a local scholarship fund for undergraduate and graduate students.  SWE-NY has provided $18,400 in scholarship money to 23 students over the past 4 years.  But we want to do so much more!
