Dominic Svatos, First Lieutenant, USMC, ret. and advanced math and statistics teacher at Bonsall High School was involved in a motorcycle accident on West Lilac Road, after leaving school on Friday, September 1st.
Mr. Svatos suffered extensive facial injuries, and a broken jaw and fractured femur, and required several surgeries. He was in the ICU for an extended period of time, and is currently working to recover at a rehabilitation center. His road back will be a long and painful process.
The staff and students at Bonsall High School would like to help Mr. Svatos recover quickly, and return to teaching as soon as possible. We would like to help relieve some of the stress of the the burden of medical expenses while Mr. Svatos deals with physical therapy, and other issues involved in the healing process.
We do not know the financial impact of this event, but we believe Mr. Svatos will have extensive medical expenses, even with insurance. To help, we would like to raise at least $10,000.
We would like to raise these funds as soon as possible, to assure Mr. Svatos can receive every possible resource needed to bounce back from this tragic event.
