A Restored Liver for Eric West
Unfortunatly, Eric has been removed from the transplant list because they found another tumor, so healing must come from prayer and good natural living.
Your own immune system will fight cancer if you give it a good chance, and that is exactly what we are doing when we remain on an alkaline diet.
It's a very expensive diet! It has to be 100% organic, no processed foods! Very little meat if any at all.
Eric has been battling Liver cancer since 2010 and has worked very hard trying to turn this around naturally...with fresh organic veggies (Thanks Vince! from Whistling Duck Farms) from near his home in Grants Pass, Oregon.
At this time, Eric is again working part time. I don't know how long this will last, but he is doing the best he can to help maintain his household. It's a struggle when you are as ill as he has been! This man amazes me continually. He is in good spirits. He continually looks towards life even though the Drs have told him otherwise. Yes, they gave that time frame--but as Eric puts it, "They are not God". His faith continually pushes me forward!
It will take a combination of different treatments if Eric is to survive even a few more years.
Eric recently signed up for a clinical trial. We hope there are some good results from that. He maintains on a daily basis. He is thin, but still in great spirits. He will fight until he cannot fight anymore...and the herbals are costly on a monthly basis. I am doing the best I can to help, but I haven't a great income myself. Our family does everything we are able to maintain the financial end of this fight, but we still need so much of your help!
If this were your family member fighting this battle, you would want the very same things for them. It has been incredibly stressful not knowing how it is all going to happen, but we are not giving up hope for a completly healed liver! We ask Jesus for these things on a daily basis!
Part of the issues are the Drs. They are treating Eric as though he is already a dead man, even though there are many things we can still try. We are fighting for an open source card so that Eric can go to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. We need to get him there now! Your contributions, past present and future will help Eric outlive his mother!
Ahhh, mom. Mom has already lost two children. Truth be told, NO PARENT SHOULD HAVE TO BURY THEIR CHILD...and this woman has done it twice... and we wonder where Eric's tenacity and strength come from. Has to be how our parents raised us.
There are travel costs, medication costs and home nursing costs. There are many unforeseen costs we haven't encountered yet.
As I said, the last chemo that Eric did almost killed him, so he has made the decision to forgo further chemo. He has responded well to each treatment, but each treatment has its risks which tend to be more dangerous with each event.
We are praying! We expect great things from a great God!
Please, pass this around your area in Grants Pass. I need your help in this matter. Pass this around to everyone you are able to on your friends lists.
By the way, Eric was raised in California, lived in Montana for awhile before finally settling in Grants Pass, Oregon during the 80's. He has been a long time resident of your community, and I know this is a conservative and poor community, but every dollar helps.
I want to thank each person who has donated to Eric's getting better.
We hoped for that new liver. It simply didn't happen. I just don't want to turn this page into a memorial. It's why I am asking for donations for alternative medications, travel and nursing care. Please be generous. Thank you.
Some of the ways you might be able to help.
1. Prayer. Prayer is always welcomed. We serve a great God.
2. Donate
3. Pass this around a lot. Every day!
4. Private message me on Facebook your ideas. Your messages may go to my other folder......but I will eventually catch up with you. Contact-De'Anna West Remember I am in Montana, and I am attempting to do a benefit here as well, and then a second one when I make Oregon again.
Blessings,
De'Anna West
