Help fund feminist survivors attend the Critical Voices Network Ireland Conference !
In November 2017 in Cork there is a groundbreaking workshop bringing together psychiatric survivors from Ireland and the UK to engage in joint discussion and to build a coalition of survivors and mental health professional allies. The coalition will explore and plan action during the workshop in the areas of:
- Trauma Informed Approaches in mental health
- Documenting and highlighting the impact of childhood sexual abuse and systemic violence against women
- Lobbying for the abolition of toxic psychiatric labels such as Borderline Personality Disorder
Due to financial issues survivor voices are often silenced in large conferences. We would be delighted if you would agree to offer us some modest financial assistance for travel and accomadation in bringing together these important but marginalised voices in order to infuse radical, feminist perspectives into debates on the future of mental health care across these islands.
