Surviving Meningitis & Lupus
Donation protected
My name is Tamara, I am a 28 year old single mother of one with a horrid auto immune disease called Lupus. On January 13th 2019 my fight with Lupus took a turn for the worse as I caught bacterial meningitis (Neisseria Meningitis) which then turned to Septicemia & nearly took my life.
I was rushed to the hospital that morning & immediately placed on life support due to my organs failing from the meningitis & septicemia. I stayed on life support for 24 days with doctors telling my parents they didn’t think I’d wake up. Despite the severity of things I did wake up and have been trying to continue my fight since.
Unfortunately being sick didn’t stop a single bill from pilling up nor did it change any of the number of responsibilities I have. So here I am reaching out a hand for help and hoping you will find it in your hearts to do just that, help. I have a number of appointments to get to, prescriptions & Medical bills that I’m trying to keep up with as well as trying to get my partial replaced(surgeons misplaced my partial denture) & Broke 2 teeth during the tubing. I have genuinely just fallen on hard times while trying to recover from the most painful and scary time of my life.
I appreciate your time and support and I thank you for your help during this time. If you want to follow my journey please feel free to check out my YouTube Vlog & videos on my life & surviving Lupus.
