Surprise Corbin W/ New Recovery Room

As most of you know, Corbin is battling Crohn's disease. He has been for over 10 years. He is at Seattle Children's hospital and he is out of remission. His lower and upper intestines are fused together and there is a huge abscess and fistulas blocking the way of correcting this with surgery, safely. He now has PICC line and is being treated with very aggressive antibiotics to get the abscess and fistulas smal enough to go in safely and remove them and reconstruct his intestines. He is being given IV fluids and nourishment packs through the PICC line as well, as he is not allowed to eat or drink anything. Surgery will not happen until end of January or beginning of February. Then when he is healed, he will undergo another surgery to take biopsies of his cysts to check for cancer. Then they will continue with the nourishment packs and IV fluids for quite sometime to let his intestines heal. Our plan is to give his room a complete makeover. The reason why is because, once he returns home, it is where he will rest for the remainder of the year. We want it to be very special for him!! He has always expressed certain things he would love in his room; I.e. Built in bookshelfs, ceiling mural, fish tank, New bedding, huge area rug, as his floor is cement, and new paint. It would be so amazing if he could come home, from this horrible experience, to a room he can really love and utilize during recovery! Please. ANY amount can help, and please pass this on!
