Surgery for Ruby Red
Donation protected
My Vizsla, Ruby, is preparing to undergo colon surgery next week. She saw a specialty surgeon today (Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware) because it's inside her colon too deep for our regular vet to get to it.
The Specialist is concerned that the polyp is cancerous because of its rapid growth, how it has grown fingers that are circling her colon and because of how it "feels".
Ruby is 10 years old. She's the love of my life ... my girl. September 2015 we lost Ruby's "sister", Spirit, to gall bladder cancer. I am terrified that I'm going to lose Ruby.
The consult with the surgeon was $745. Surgery is estimated at $2100 to $3400 barring any unforeseen issues or other things he finds during surgery. If we raise over the amount required I will donate the remaining funds to Vizsla rescue.
Thank you V family.
Kim and Ruby
