Surae’s fight against HIE

My daughter was born 12-6-17 via emergency c-section. She was born with 1/3 of the placenta torn, and was not breathing or had a heartbeat for 20 minutes. She is diagnosed with HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy) and severe neonatal encephalopathy. Her brain and all of her organs had to be cooled to try and prevent as much damage as possible. We were told that she most likely will not survive the night. Her chance of developing cerebral palsy is extremely high. She has extreme damage to her frontal lobe and cortex, as well as ventriculomegaly (meaning her chances of walking, talking, thinking, eating, etc. are very slim)
We are in desperate need of help emotionally, financially, spiritually, and mentally. This is the hardest thing that has happened to either one of us and her future is still unknown.
Her chances are very slim, and we are doing all that we can to help her live as close to a normal life as possible.
We have not left her side since she was born, making it impossible to live a normal life, let alone continue to work.
We would love as much help and support as we can possibly get in our desperate time of need, but ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as many children with her prognosis do not survive, or live a “normal” life.
