Tracy is a Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. She has over come many obsticals in her life from Cerebal Palsy to abuse, and other trials one should not have to face in their life time. Through all of that, she did it with a smile and she didn't want to be treated any different then someone else. She always said nothing was different about her, she was the same as everyone. Now there is a disease that she has that she cannot beat and it is frustrating for her but she still smiles and laughs. She still says she is fine... and she is going to live for a very long long time. She has the best attitude when facing something so horrible. My mom has end stage COPD, severe asthma. Most hear COPD and automatically think smoking, so they did it to themselves. The cause of this disease if from multiple sources and unfortunately my mom had exposure to a few of those, Last year she was okay not great but she was able to still work and do what she needed to do, then out of nowhere she was rused to the ER. She spent about 2 weeks in the hosptial on breathing machines and many days we weren't sure if we were going to lose her or not. She finally got to go home and she is on hospice. All she wanted was to go home and be with her cat. So we made that happen no question about it. My mom has always made everything she can happen for me, she sacraficed even eating if she needed to just so my brother and I could eat. She was strict, she was a mother not a friend. She sheilded me from anything that I shouldn't see or know about. She guided me, she taught me, she supported me. As you can see I could go on and on about my mom... She means everything to me, she is my heart, my very best friend. Knowing that she won't be here breaks everything inside me, but everyday I put on the brave face and go on. I get that from her. We were told by Doctors that she has a year or months... they emphasized on months. So we worked and scrambled to make the best Holidays ever for her, she had the best time. So our goal here, is to raise money to be able to keep my mom at her house and comfortable, with her cat Tux. If that is the last thing I can do for my mom then so be it and I will do anything to make that happen. Her hospice team are a group of wonderful people who are doing everything they can to take care of her, we learned that her medical insurance ran out, however, hospice ensured us to not worry they would do what they could. They are there for my mom not the money. That put our hearts and minds at ease. There are bills, and medicines, and other necessities that my mom needs to be comfortable for the time she has left. I want to be sure that we can get her everything without worry. I want to be sure that she doesn't go with out. I am not ready to live without my mom in this world, but is anyone ever really ready? I still need her for so many things... but right now she needs me and that is what is important. Any amount you can give will make the largest of difference, and if you cannot that is okay. Your love and support offer a large part in taking care of my mom. Share her story, pass this link on, pray, however you can contribute it will not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I want to thank you for taking the time to learn about my mom, and what we are trying to do for her. I love my mom more than life itself and this is the least that I can do in comparison to what she has done for me. I wish you and your family all the love and happiness and good health. You can read more about her and her story, share stories about my mom if you personally know her, see photos.... all at her website we have to keep everyone updated on her.... please visit: www.caringbridge.org/visit/tracysimmons
