Support for the Dowdy family

In October 2017, Jason and Demi welcomed sweet Win into their home with the hopes of finalizing their adoption within a few months. However, in May of 2018 the adoption was contested on the paternal side and after 8 months of ups and downs and numerous hearings, the judge has ruled to not allow the adoption to move forward, which would result in Win (15 months old) leaving the only home he has ever known. Jason and Demi are utterly heartbroken but have not lost hope and are seeking to appeal the decision to the NC Supreme Court. The appeal could take months to over a year and can be as costly as the initial adoption fees. We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden they will face in the coming months as well as stand by them as they fight for their family. Please consider giving to them if you are able to do so at this time.

Also, please keep this family in your prayers as they are facing what is likely the hardest trial they will endure. Please pray for protection over Win as he must now go back and forth among the families. Please pray for strength (emotionally and physically) for Demi & Jason as well as wisdom and guidance as they move forward with the court proceedings.
