Refugee Aid Serbia: Mobilising Communities, Making the Difference

Who we are
RAS began as a collaboration of concerned citizens, non-governmental organizations, charities, and local businesses carrying out essential aid delivery throughout Serbia in August 2015. Over the past year we have delivered clothing, warm meals, fruit, water, hygiene items and other essential items to the hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers, migrants and refugees transiting Serbia.
Since then we have witnessed the official closure of the Balkan route, despite which there are an estimated 200 irregular arrivals daily, many of whom stop off in Belgrade city-centre. Here, we meet some of their most basic needs and offer them a moment of respite.
However the increasing number of asylum seekers arriving in Belgrade has resulted in our inability to feed and clothe every family and individual who come to our distribution. So today we have launched our Crowdfunder appeal to better meet their needs.

We are a humanitarian organisation who rely on the support of individuals. We encourage you to take a look at the video above to learn more about our work.
We are also incredibly proud of our Warm Meals project which we have been running since March. As the weather turns, it is increasingly important that people are provided with warm and nutritious meals.
1 euro can provide two warm nutritious meals and water
Many of the people we work with are fleeing conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and have made the journey to Belgrade on foot through some of the world's toughest climates and terrains.
5 Euros we can give them a new pair of shoes
Please help us meet our target over the next few weeks so we can continue to deliver much needed food and clothing to those who need it most.
