Ashley was in a boating accident in Panama City Beach on Sunday, June 14. Due to the accident she lost feeling in her legs and was taken to the hospital where she had emergency surgery on her spinal cord. She is currently in ICU after having two surgeries and has not yet regained feeling and is paralyzed from her pelvic bone down to her feet. We are unsure of what is going to happen next for Ashley, all we know is that she is going to need support both emotionally and financially.
So you know a little more about Ashley, she is from Panama City Beach, Florida and works at a local resort in the area. She also spends some of her time as a part time nanny for her friends children, who she loves and adores. Ashley has a great sense of humor and brings joy and happiness to any situation. Whenever you're around her you are bound to have an amazing time.
Ashley loved to be on the beach, travel the world and go to concerts. Her favorite band is Hanson, which she has been traveling all over to see in concert for many years. Throughout those years, Ashley has met so many of her best friends, who she stays in close contact with even if they don't live closeby. This webpage has been started by her friends in the Hanson community because even if we don't live close to her we want to be able to support her in any way possibly during this trying time in her life.
We ask that you please donate what you can to Ashley as she will be facing very high medical bills due to the accident as well as into her future due to therapy and rehibilitation. We also ask that you share this link on all forms of social media. Please use the hashtag #SupportingAshley, so we can create as much of a buzz about this as possible. Our current goal is $20,000 which is just a drop in the bucket for the medical bills she will be faced with but we hope that we can reach that (or exceed that) with the support of her friends and family all over the world. If you know people who can donate items (ie. wheelchair, accessibility items) to her cause to help her be rehibiliated back into her life that would also be great.
We love you, Ashley!
As as update on the fund - We have over 100 donors and are SO CLOSE to $5,000. 1/4 of the way to our goal! Please continue to spread the word!
