While one of life’s certainties is that nothing is certain, not many have recently felt the truth behind those words as deeply as Adrian Stam, his wife Charlotte, their two little sweethearts - Evie and Lucy, and their baby who is going to arrive early December.
After months of curious symptoms and discovery of a tumour leading to significant brain surgery on October 24th, Adrian’s been diagnosed with brain cancer. Initial reports deemed the cancer of grade 3-4 quality, thus anticipating immediate radiation therapy and chemotherapy to remove remaining cancerous tissue. However, as time has passed (feeling slower than ever, unfortunately), further testing proves the cancer is more likely to be of lower grade (1-2) and urgent interventions of the above therapies can be held off for the time being, with routine scans to monitor growth or fluctuations. Praise God!
However, Adrian is not able to work fully or indefinitely, and as they anticipate their new little one on December 6th, navigating his limitations, including treatments and travel linked to such, and with Charlotte’s maternity leave beginning simultaneously, they are under some financial strains.
My name is Marli Dunkley and I am Adrians Stams little sister. Many of you have inquired about ways you can support Adrian and Charlotte in this time of tremendous unknown. We’ve been blessed and encouraged by your love, prayers, and support as this past month unfolded. Additionally, they’ve enjoyed the overwhelming, gracious gifts of food and childcare - We’re thankful for any and all of your provision to Adrian, Charlotte, and our family. Any consideration of contributing to them further is above, beyond, and received with humble, grateful hearts. These funds will be used to go towards there monthly living expenses and any extra costs they may occur while in treatment. These funds will be withdrawled and deposited into the account at bulkley valley credit union set up for he stams. Again we thank you for everything.
