Around Christmas of 2018, I noticed that the floor in my guest room was no longer level but had begun to slant. When my friend went under the house to see what was happening, he found that the sump pump was no longer working and ground water was seeping into the dirt crawl space. Consequently, insulation was growing mold and joists had rotted. One joist had even buckled (under the guest room).

The good news is: it can be fixed. Also, I don’t have to move out of my house as all the work will be done in the crawl space. The bad news is that the cost is estimated at $25,000. I do not have $25,000.
