Supporting Cameron Newman
After an MRI on August 25, 201 Cameron was sent immediately to the emergency room where is was diagnoised with a tumor on his brain stem, which was identified as an ependymoma cancer tumor. He underwent a 12 hour surgery to remove the cancer, however due to the risky area of the brain where the tumor is located all of the tumor was unable to be removed. As a result, Cameron’s medical plan includes 7 weeks of chemotherapy, a possible second 12 hour surgery, and 7 weeks of radiation. Given the unforeseen medical expenses and loss of wages due to his treatment contributions would be greatly appreciated. Please leave Cameron and his family a video message, greetings, or post well wishes. Likewise, the family will post updates as Cameron progresses along. Thanks to family, friends, Columbia High School, and community at large for your prayers, expression of kindness, care, and concern for Cameron during this time of healing.
Thank each of you for you prayers and support. Last Wednesday Cameron had his post chemotherapy MRI which was clear. His follow up hearing test has remained as his pre hearing test, which noted no hearing loss. He will continue with PT, OT, and speech over the next 6 months to a year. We will also return to St. Jude for follow up post testing in January 2017. As such, we welcome your continued prayers and any additional support.
Thanks to Daquan Freeman for coordinating a Benefit Concert this Friday July 29, 2016 at 7:30 pm at Greater St. John's COGIC in Albany, NY. Your presence and contributions are greatly appreciated.
God is faithful. He showed up and showed out on Cameron's behalf so the world would see and believe. Hallelujah!!!! Much Love to the Newman Family.
Merry Christmas and to God Be the Glory!!! Continued Miracles and Blessings to you and the family! Light, Love and Peace!
We have been praying all week...for safe travels, for God to guide your health providers, for financial stability, for perseverance. He is all powerful. Many at Brunswick Church have been holding Cameron and all of you in prayer as they walk beside Melissa in her prayer request of love and support. Do we have a time for the procedure tomorrow? Praise to God for bringing you to this awesome place. The land of Elvis and Graceland! How fun is that? God, please be with them all. Surround them with your comfort, your presence, your wisdom and may Your will be done. Amen!
God is awesome! This is good news! The Blood of Jesus!❤️

September 23, 2015. The first visit for today was with the neurosurgeon. CT scans look well. Next visit will be at the end of October after chemotherapy to determine if surgery is needed or if the remaining tumor is shrunk or gone and then radiation. PRAYER for the very root of this disease to be dead from the very root it came from. Second appointment for today is chemotherapy. On our way. PRAYER!
Cameron and family...we are all praying for you. Melissa has brought your need to our church congregation and asked for you to be added to the prayer chain. She is working a little each week to raise money for you. Know that you are all held up continuously.
Cameron will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope all goes well with your first round of chemo!
Get well soon cameron by his stripes you are healed
