Support the Tet Community Festival
Created February 17, 2018
The Union of Vietnamese Student Associations of Southern California (UVSA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan, community-based and youth-oriented organization, would like to ask for your support in helping us meet our objective of bringing together Vietnamese American youth including students from different colleges and high schools throughout Southern California to build unity, to serve our community, and to advocate for social justice issues that affect our community domestically and in Vietnam.
Each year, UVSA hosts its annual Tet Festival as a way to help develop high school, college and young professional volunteers as well as showcase the Vietnamese culture. Aside from this year's New Year Festival, we also organize other annual activities such as the VAHSA and UVSA leadership camps; Black April Commemoration in remembrance of the Fall of Saigon; UVSA Gala, Winter Formal, College Fair, Beach Day and Bonfire, and Friendship Games, and many more.
We also hold number of charitable and advocacy events such as charity car washes, fundraising dinner for camps, International Human Rights Night, candle light vigils for religious freedom in Vietnam, and more, all for the sole purpose of fulfilling our mission.
How you could help?
Your support, through the funds that you will graciously share us with, would be used to fund our programs, which help our youth attain leadership skills, receive mentorship in career and education. We're actively taking part in helping the parents make sure that their children belong to a wholesome community, establishing healthy and productive friendships, saving them from the clutches of bad influence.
We're looking forward for many more years in bringing about change in the lives of the many Vietnamese American youth. Together with your help, we'll see many of them become successful movers in the community, paying everything forward for the support you share.
