Most people think of horror fans as weirdos who are fans of the grotesque, violent pockets of life.  There's at least a bit of truth to that, but so many fans that I meet are also the sweetest, gentlest people in the world who hate to see bad things happen to people in real life.

But as we all know, bad things do happen to people, and unfortunately it often happens in their own homes with people who claim to love them.  Domestic violence affects so many people, mostly women, that we're all far too likely to at least know someone who's suffered from it.

That's where the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCADV) comes in.  Per the DCADV website:

Since its founding in 1994, DCADV has engaged in a variety of activities, including public education efforts, training and prevention initiatives, and systems advocacy. DCADV works closely with the criminal justice, health care, education, advocacy, and social service communities to facilitate the creation of effective policies and programs for battered women and their children. In all of these efforts, DCADV is a crucial voice for domestic violence victims and their families.

By contributing to the DCADV, you'll be supporting domestic violence victims in the state of Delaware and empowering them to establish safe places for them and their children.

Plus, don't forget, you're also making yourself eligible to win a little something for yourself!  Once I hit my $1000 goal, you'll be eligible to win one of two prize packs listed on my website .
